Notice anything interesting about this view of Shea Stadium?
Give up? It’s field level, which means that I was on the field at Shea Stadium to take this picture! How cool is that?
How did I get there? The American Cancer Society hosts several “Relays for Life” throughout the city every year, typically at a place with a track. Sure enough, Shea stadium has a track. I made several loops around the field; even though I wasn’t able to run around the outfield, the experience still offered some pretty impressive photo ops:
